An empirically based 8-week training in self-compassion skills.

MSC is an empirically based 8-week training that helps you develop self-kindness, common humanity and mindful awareness to build emotional strength and resilience.
Benefits include increased emotional wellbeing, decreased anxiety, depression and stress, and greater ease handling difficult emotions and relationships.
My personal mindfulness and compassion practice began in 2004. Since 2009, following teacher training with Bangor University, I have been teaching and integrating Mindfulness-based approaches into my clinical work.
In 2012 I completed the first UK training in Mindful Self-Compassion under its founders, Dr Kristin Neff and Dr Chris Germer, and in 2014 became a recognised Trained MSC Teacher with the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion. Cultivating Mindful Self-Compassion was the subject of my Professional Doctorate, awarded in 2017.
It is a privilege to bring mindfulness and compassion into my clinical work, teaching and retreats, and to be part of the community of MSC practitioners.
